|More About Me||
I’ve always been drawn to the’dark side’ Whether it’s through my drawing or writing. I love the mystical, the quirky and the downright frightening. I began wriing horror/thriller stories in my early schooldays. I grew up with a vivid imagination and was always drawn to the works of C.S. Lewis (The Chronicles of Narnia.) and Susan Cooper (The Dark is Rising Series.). When I was older, I developed a fascination with Greek Mythology as well as New Age, (I’ve been a professional Tarot reader for more than twenty years.). The minds of psychopaths always fascinated me, so I’m a big fan of the seriel killer novel. Despite all this, I’m actually quite a cheerful bloke. I’m a first generation Aussie from a British family. This probably explains why I love British humour so much. I’m a big Monty Python fan and I love the comedy work of artists such as Catherine Tate (Wot? Do I look bovvered?). I’m also a fan of sci fi and dystopia. I love works that pose the ‘What If’ question. And as you’d expect from an author I devour books. My favourite authors include, Dean Koontz, Clive Barker, Stewart Bint, Rocky Rochford, DM Cain and a slew of others.
|What I Do In My Free Time||
I’ve loved drawing since I was a kid and spent hours creating my own superhero comics. I still love superheros but only in movie form, I just don’t draw them anymore lol. I still love getting out the sketch pad and pencil and creating fantasy art.
I majored in media at high school and during my time at college so movies are a big part of my life. I love Golden Age Hollywood movies such as Sunset Boulevard and The Birdman of Alcatraz.
I love coking but don’t get the chance to practice much being single and it doesn’t take a chef to open a ti of food for my two cats Charlie and Smokey but when there’s a family event I love creating cakes, slices and desserts.
Do I really need to mention I love reading lol.
To Sir With Love (still cry at the end of that one!)
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (terrified me when I was younger!)
Sunset Boulevard (I’m ready for my close up Mr De Mille!)
The Anniversary (Bette Davis at her bitchiest best!)
|Favorite TV Shows||
Doctor Who (I have been watching this show since I was young enough and slim enough to hide behind the sofa in fear. I’m a massive Whovian.)
Catweazle (one of my all time childhood favourites.)
Bargain Hunt (I’ve learnt so much from this show.)
Coronation Street (I’m not a big soap fan but I love the diverse age groups of this show.)
The Catherine Tate Show (This woman is just brilliant, I never fail to p**s myself laughing!)
Little Britain (Absolutely hilarious!)
I’m a huge fan of female vocal. My favourite artists are:
I’m also a big fan of the 60’s, particuarly British groups and singers such as: The Beatles (naturally!) Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, Herman’s Hermits etc.
I love my dance music from the 80’s when I feel like bopping arount the house while I’m doing my housework lol.
