In reply to: Rob McClellan posted an update Holy crap… @christopherboore @edgosney, you guys been watching this season? I’m amazed at how faithful they’re staying to the books – this is how you bring a book to TV! View

To be honest, I read the first few books back when they first came out, and read so many afterwards that I didn’t remember some stuff and didn’t realize how faithful they were being. Christopher set me straight, and I loved the second season. I read that when the newest book, Babylon’s Ashes, was published in December, there is a Martian ship…[Read more]

  • Atom, glad to hear someone else is enjoying this interesting take on the Archie gang! Rumor has it that Sabrina will be making an appearance on the season finale, but I can’t confirm it. If it’s true, this could […]

I could read it on my phone using my Nook app, and my phone is pretty big, but I prefer E Ink. I don’t mind paying for something I’m going to read, but free is nice. Although maybe authors would sell better if buyers didn’t have so many opportunities to get books for free. Then again, that’s not what this club is about. So is anyone else even…[Read more]

Rob, I just downloaded parts 1 and 2. Parts 3 and 4 are showing up as 99 cents. Are we just doing Part 1 for now? That would be easier at this time.

    • Ed, well that’s a shame. All four volumes were free on Nook.

Yes, definitely just part 1 for this month.

Thanks for the recommend. I’ll have to check it out.

  • Great memory, Christopher! My best buddy growing up had The Amazing Spider-Man #129. For some reason I missed buying that one, and I thought the Punisher looked so cool when he showed me that issue. I never bought […]

  • Jon, I appreciate all this background information! I wouldn’t think writing in someone else’s universe is the easiest thing to do, but it sounds like you took the proper steps so that you could give us (your readers) some fun entertainment! Thank you!

  • Atom, great points, and I missed noticing the “I am Suicide” on the original cover. I just saw a small picture of it, since I haven’t been buying weekly comics. I appreciate your insight, and I’m sure you’re […]

  • Holly, glad you enjoyed it! I’m running out of storage space for comics (sold off several thousands a few years back, but it’s building again), so many of my new comic purchases end up being digital. I really like […]

  • I finally finished this yesterday. Though it’s not a thick book, sometimes life and other commitments get in the way.

Going into Colossus, I wondered how much sense it would make to me, because I haven’t read my copy of Alt. Chronicles: Legacy Fleet yet, or the Nick Webb original trilogy (my “to be read” pile, both physical and eBooks, is…[Read more]

I have about an hour of reading time left, and probably won’t finish it until sometime this weekend. Hope everyone is enjoying the read, and I look forward to seeing your comments.

    • I’m in the same boat – running a bit behind, but enjoying the ride!

@jonfrater think you’ll be able to be part of the discussion? Would be awesome to talk with you about the book. Though, I warn you, as a former naval officer, and salvage expert, might have some tough questions for ya… 😉

Atom, thanks for mentioning the BOOM! Studios POTA comics. I actually picked up the majority of them in collected trade editions last year at a Books-A-Million for blowout prices, then ordered the remaining ones […]
